iLyngo, LLC was founded in 2011 by entrepreneurs Sanjay Patel and Richard Kewitz. Both having exited several successful business ventures in the past, the two long-time friends felt they had the ideas and experience between them to help create a company that could truly change communication for the better. But at the time they originally reconnected in Chicago in 2011, they had no idea that time would come so soon. When Patel received an SMS message from his niece on day, and had difficulty understanding all of the acronyms in her message, the initial idea for the Cyfr app was born. Meanwhile, Kewitz, having a background in the entertainment and hospitality industry, had been mulling over ways to try and help consumers benefit from the new found mobile connectivity with retailers via their smart phones. The two quickly realized that the combination of their ideas could mean an app that changes the face of human communication forever!
